"Love writing, love Shootclub!"
"Being an amateur writer, I can honestly say that writing promos for my characters is the best part of Shootclub. It gives me a chance to write on a grand scale, for an audience, and to work with some fantastic talents out there. Love writing, love Shootclub!"
- Elizabeth from Northern Ireland (Kaslarna)
Every year at the Birthday Bash PPV, the new inductees to the Hall of Fame are announced. Below is a list of our Hall of Fame Legends along with the year they were inducted:
Here is a list of the most critical information about Shootclub and what kind of a place this is. If any of this stuff doesn't sound good to you, then Shootclub is not the place for you:
"Shootclub is a notch above many other e-feds because it has run consistently over the past ten years."
"Shootclub is a notch above many other e-feds because it has run consistently over the past ten years. That has enabled a real community to grow and for people and characters to develop histories with one another and a dynamic which would be simply impossible in a league that closed after a few weeks or months."
- Howard from DC (EEArmyh2o)
If you are interested in trying out Shootclub, below is a good plan on how to successfully get started:

"This game is so damn good..."
"This game is so damn good, even if you have to leave for real life things, you WILL be back eventually. Trust me, everyone comes back."
- Brian from Scotland (The Purple Flash)
Leagues are where all of the wrestling activty occurs. Leagues have their own titles, events (PPVs), house shows, promos, feuds, etc. etc. In order to be part of the action, you need to choose a league and participate there. Wrestlers, Tag Teams, and whole Stables can move leagues at the end of the month during the process called "End of Cycle". New leagues are opened up when the current set of leagues get too crowded and we need more room. Leagues are closed when their activity and roster levels get too low. All openings and closings are handled by the game admins Webby, JR, and Crock.
All of the leagues in Shootclub belong to the Shootclub Wrestling Alliance (SWA). The leagues in the SWA are broken up by level and each level has their own maximum experience points level which helps ensure competitiveness within the leagues.
"Shootclub is more than a game. It's become a second home."
"How can I adequately describe Shootclub? What words can I find to express what has now been approximately 8 years of my life dedicated to this hobby? How can I do justice to the joys that comes from creating a career and watching it soar? What can I possibly say that will give the best idea of the tremendous community I have been immersed in through the years? Shootclub is more than a game. It's become a second home."
- Garrett from Ontario (Laz)
Shootclub provides many avenues for role-playing and furthering of storylines. Below are the different pieces of the Shootclub role-playing:
"A amazing amount of creativity and imagination is unleashed in this little hole on the web."
"A amazing amount of creativity and imagination is unleashed in this little hole on the web. The scale and scope of writing, the friendships which get created and watching the evolution of those friends and their ideas, keeps people coming back."
- Timothy from Alberta (Curve)
"Shootclub is the place where those fans who CAN do better are able to prove it."
"I've heard many wrestling fans say they could easily write better story lines, create better characters, and come up with better matches than what is seen on current televised wrestling. Shootclub is the place where those fans who CAN do better are able to prove it."
- Matt from NC (Servo)
Shootclub is not a typical e-fed or eWrestling site where the results are "booked" by the owner of the site. Instead, matches are determined using both the quality of a wrestler's arsenal and experience (XP) level. Arsenals are changed on a monthly basis and the values for each move goes up and down. The quality of a wrestler's arsenal is a combination of some skill and a little luck. Experience is gained over time as a wrestler is successful both in matches and posting quality roleplays. Roleplays are judged by the all the players themselves not by an insider committee or single owner.
"The Shootclub match simulator is brilliant."
"The Shootclub match simulator is brilliant. A lot of thought went into the detail of how matches are won and lost. The best thing is you don't need to know all of the details to play the game."
- Will from MA (chi-llama)
"Shootclub offers the best of both worlds..."
"Shootclub offers the best of both worlds when it comes to fantasy wrestling-a promo-based game where one's writing skills can be showcased and a unique simulator-based game where strategy and luck helps one to advance."
- Mike from NC (Commissioner Gordon)
The best part of Shootclub, hands down, is the people and the community of those people. We have a very helpful and close community of players who are always willing to lend a hand to a new player that is learning the ropes. In the below testimonials you will hear more from the players who make up that community. One word of caution: don't be a jerk... or we will close out your account. We have a very low tolerance (in fact zero) for people who don't know to play nicely with others.
Currently, our community "tools" are far and wide. The plan in the near future is tie these together in a more cohesive manner, but for now you have to visit a few different places:
"Shootclub is not just a game, it's a community..."
"When I first came into the Shootclub environment it was like a whole new family had been opened up to me. Nearly ten years later I am still here and that family environment has increased. Shootclub is not just a game, it's a community and that is why it has been going for as long as it has."
- Joel from England (SWALegend)
"The players here are truly what makes this game the best site for fantasy wrestling."
"In my near decade associated with Shootclub, one thing keeps me interested... Community. Even when I don't have active wrestlers, I still check in on the forums daily. The players here are truly what makes this game the best site for fantasy wrestling. Never a dull moment in 8 years!"
- Mark from TN (Joker)
"I can say that this is the friendliest community of wrestling fans I've ever encountered."
"As a person who's been involved in "fantasy wrestling" since the mid-80s, I can say that this is the friendliest community of wrestling fans I've ever encountered. The moment you start interacting, you'll feel as if you belong whether you're role-playing your character or just talking about the sport in the forums. You won't feel intimidated because everyone is there to help!"
- Ross from WI (RoscoeLaw)
Shootclub is owned and operated by the "Big 3" of John Rodeo (a former professional wrestling manager), Crock (graphic artist and pro wrestling guru), and Webmaster (software programmer known by all as "Webby"). Shootclub opened it's doors in July of 2000 with the start of it's first league Empire State Wrestling (ESW). ESW is still running today and remains one of our most competive regional promotions.
The Shootclub Wrestling Alliance (SWA), which is the governing body of all the Shootclub leagues, was officially formed at ColossalCade 2000 with merger of the first four leagues. Hall of Famer Micah King was declared the first SWA champion winning the SWA United States Championship at the 2001 April Reign of Champions. Seth Anarchy was declared the first SWA World Heavyweight Champion at the SWA Crowning Glory PPV in August 2001.
Since our first full year in 2001, we have gotten into a fairly regular pattern of monthly events and Pay-Per-Views that are hosted by the SWA and booked and written by the players of the game. Title matches and competitive events are run by Shootclub simulator but the results are written by the players themselves. Below is a list of our regular PPVs during each month of the year:
"Give it a try for a few months... you will not want to stop!"
"I've been playing this game for almost two years, and I must say, it's been more fun than I could have imagined! The progression of a character is so fun to watch and be a part of. The passion of this community is second to none. I'm glad I tried it out, and I'm glad I stuck around. It can be frustrating early on, learning certain nuances of this game. But, people have gone out of their way to help out, and this has become my sanctuary when I come home from work. Give it a try for a few months... you will not want to stop!"
