A View From The Stands
By Mark D. Swerve
Is anyone else concerned by the fact that, prior to making "The Decision", Lebron James didn't even bother to check out Philadelphia as his next home? I mean, sure, we haven't had a contender basketball team since 2000 and haven't won a title during the entirety of James' life, but have the Sixers fallen this far? Well, given the humongous middle finger he gave the city of Cleveland, perhaps Philly is better off without the pressence of "The King".
Fortunately, on any given evening, we can at least take comfort in knowing we do have some true, salt of the earth type athletes willing to compete here. Such was the case with
Steven Reinhardt
Vs.
Jailhouse Rocker
It doesn't get much saltier than that, does it? The SWA's elder statesman and the man who's suddenly got a whole lot more company as the second most decorated world champion of all time. There was nothing fancy about this match and honestly, why should there be? These two come from a different time, back when Twitter and debates about soap opera versus real wrestling were confined to geeks on internet message boards. In the end, Reinhardt finished Rocker with a piledriver-simple, honest and devastating. That's what I like about wrestling. That's what I like about Philly. And that's why a prima donna like James has no business in this town.
